Hear our story about the cultural change that is needed in order to make cities cybersecure and ensure data literacy of all employees. We will host a panel discussion with two inspiring experts from KONE, Application security Manager Vilma Blomberg and Chief Analytics Officer Maija Hovila. Vilma Blomberg is KONEs very own super-star, who started with us as a trainee and is now leading our Enterprise IT & Software/Services R&D Application Security team. Maija Hovila is our Chief Analytics Officer and has had an impressive career in international analytics, intelligence and strategy leader with over 15 years of consulting and industry experience.

          Why we need more women in engineering and technology?

Research manager Susanna Bairoh, TEK (Academic Engineers & Architects). Susanna is responsible for leading and managing TEK’s research activities. She holds a Master’s degree in social science from University of Helsinki and is completing her Doctoral studies at Hanken School of Business wherein her dissertation focuses on the gender gap in STEM. Susanna is passionate about improving gender equality, diversity and inclusion in technology and technology workplaces.

          Silver bullets: How to attract more women to tenure track?

Dean Riina Salmimies, LUT School of Engineering Science. Riina is one of this year’s winners in JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World Program (JCI TOYP) in Finland. Riina is the youngest dean in an engineering school in Finland but has already experience in filling nearly 20 tenure positions. Riina will share us her insight of what concrete steps to take to attract more women to tenure track.

Niklas Normia – Strategy Execution and Change Lead, for whom development and continuous improvement have always been close to his heart. He thinks today’s work is largely about interaction, involvement and learning, and for a team to achieve the best results, it needs a solid foundation, a psychologically safe atmosphere. Niklas has responded to and implemented strategic, tactical and operational projects internationally within Sandvik, Load & Haul. Trained e.g. SixSigma bb, MQ and eMBA.
 
Ida Teeristö – Product Safety and Sustainability Specialist, who has dived into the development of the corporate culture with passion and excitement. Inspired by brave people who are ready to take on new challenges to achieve their team goals and to create an atmosphere of trust and respect.
