How to build an international career in a global conglomerate?
Having spent over 20 years within the same company, building up a very diverse career from summer trainee to Country Managing Director of ABB Hungary, it has been quite an exciting journey.
In the session Taira-Julia will walk you through some key milestones, the challenges and highlights of the journey including the importance of showing results. She will reveal what has been her recipe for long career in ABB.
Taira-Julia will also share her viewpoint and experience of international career vs. career in an international environment – or is it just play with words?
She will also touch the point of how the “being a woman leader in a manly environment” has just recently raised its importance in her life.
Truly human culture revolution
For us at Accenture, our biggest asset is our people. We know that we have not always been known as the most humane environment, we might even have seemed a bit like robots sometime. Adjusting to the changing world around has always been one of our core capabilities. We decided that we need to start walking our own talk and become truly human in our everyday too. Hence the Truly Human Culture Revolution was born.
We work at a digitally-enabled, relentless pace, which can disrupt our ability to sleep enough, eat right, exercise and spend time with the people that matter most. Accenture’s success in transforming into a truly human organization in the digital age depends on creating an environment that allows our people to be their whole and best selves, both professionally and personally.
Our people personify the way we work – being adaptable, inspirational, open. We want to create a workplace where everyone’s ideas are welcomed and valued, where everyone has a voice. A workplace, where support, advice and guidance is available continuously from the people around us. Where flexible working means exactly that – the opportunity to shape the work around everyone’s personal commitments. Most of all, where people at every level recognize individuality, encourage development and inspire each others to greater achievements.
In short, we want to be a workplace where you can be your authentic self. Join us to discuss how we our journey to becoming the most truly human organization in the digital age is progressing!

Embracing the AI Paradigm
Time to innovate leadership, knowledge work and in general how organisations operate in the era of AI!
Data and AI will cause a major shift in the organisational paradigm and the way we work as well as learn. The early rumblings of the revolution are already here, today. Anni Harju shares her perspective on what the future will look like and how we get there. Her presentation takes a look at concrete and practical case examples that show us how organisations can become data-led instead of data-driven.
Precision health: improving healthcare outcomes

Creating sustainable change with AI - at scale
There is a big promise in AI: Transforming the way we live, creating a cleaner future and enabling new innovation in traditional forms of business. The realization of this potential is, however, still very much work in progress. AI still lives in PoC's and Pilot projects. To start uncovering the true value of AI requires it to integrate into our businesses and personal lives, like DNA. As AI evolves into a more integrated part of our everyday living environments, it becomes a tool for human like communication and engagement channel with personal touch.
The session will dive deeper into how we can steer the evolution of AI, from pilot use into human driven scalable solutions that are truly shaping the future.
Enabling modern life
Technology plays a key role in enabling modern life. Population growth and urbanization have resulted in the acceleration of consumption and construction. Without the sustainable use of natural resources, the modern world as we know it could not exist. Come and discover how we can together - with the help of technology - address some of the global challenges and sustain the modern way of life.
Empatiapakkaus.fi to bring empathy back online
We are global leaders in digitalization and education. We have an internationally recognize innovation, Äitiyspakkaus providing critical building blocks for parents and newborns to take the first steps in life. But then something goes sideways and digitalization is changing the game of basic human interaction and how to navigate in the new, faceless online environment . Over 60 % of 15-17 year old children have experienced cyber bullying. Yet only 25% of parents know their children have been bullied online and less than 30% of parents have discussed cyber bullying with their kids. We have a huge issue in our hands and we all need to do our part to bring empathy back online. Microsoft together with passioned lineup of partners and influencers launched a campaign called Empatia nettiin – Empathy online to find ways to decrease cyber bullying and strengthen empathy skills. Empatiapakkaus.fi was born. An online platform to provide parents, teachers and children tools, information, inspiration and technical solutions to help them demonstrate more empathy online and thus decrease cyber bullying. In this session we will unfold the final version of Empatiapakkaus and share the journey with you.

Meeting climate change with hope and love
How to approach difficult topics without fear, anxiety or frustration?
Climate change can cause anxiety and fear, which consume a lot of energy and might prevent us from taking action.
In this workshop we approach climate change with growth thinking mindset. We believe that we can work against climate change without anxiety or fear. We just need to have the right mindset and the right ways of working.
In this workshop we explore different ways of thinking that help us move from blame and shame to resourceful state of mind. It is possible to work with something this scary enthusiastically, even with delight and with the joy of awareness.

Energiamurros kestävän ja hiilineutraalin kaupungin ydin
Tule kehittämään kanssamme turvallista, kestävää ja älykästä kaupunkia – sellaista, jossa unelmoit asuvasi! Kaupungistuminen on globaali megatrendi, joten kasvavien kaupunkien suunnittelulla vaikutetaan merkittävästi ilmastonmuutoksen sietokykyyn ja sen vaikutusten torjuntaan. Energia on avainasemassa kestävässä kaupunkikehityksessä: liikenne, rakennukset, maankäyttö, turvallisuus.
Kuinka suunnittelemme hiilineutraaleja kaupunkeja? Kuinka voimme varmistaa kestävän energian tuotannon ja jakelun? Mitä teknisiä ratkaisuja meillä on käytössämme kestävän energian osalta?
Swecon työpajassa kokoamme osallistujien osaamisen ja tekniset työkalut saman pöydän ääreen. Luodaan yhdessä energiatehokkaan ja hiilineutraalin kaupungin askelmerkit! Meillä on teknologia jo olemassa, mutta mikä meitä estää hyödyntämästä ratkaisuja?

How to create sustainable value?
Fast development of technologies, changes in global geopolitics, climate change and the limits of Earth’s capacity are changing our entire society. At this time, it’s important to stop and ask what kind of a world we are building.
In the future, innovations are foremost needed to create solutions to global grand challenges, such as climate change, urbanization, availability of clean water and air and usage of natural resources. Successful future business can only be based on sustainable value creation.
Come and hear what sustainable value creation, enabled by digitalization, means in practice and how circular economy business models provide concrete tools for driving the transformation. We also discuss what net impact means, why it matters and what could be ways to measure it.
Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland – TEK
Women to the Top in Tech! - What helps, what hinders?
Women in top-level jobs in technology companies are still an exception. To address this, some companies are setting targets for the percentage of women in top management. However, other companies consider this unnecessary or even harmful. Shouldn’t every person advance just based on competence?
TEK looks after the interests of over 70,000 academic engineers and architects in Finland, offering support for their career and promoting a professional community. We have been actively raising awareness of equality and diversity issues in Finnish technology workplaces. In a recent study, we have identified policies and practices that support career advancement for women as well as factors that are hindering it. In this session, we present key findings from our study and discuss the results with an expert panel. Come and join us!

Datalla vaikuttavuutta terveydenhuoltoon - Mitä sotessa voitaisiin oppia Airbnbstä ja Uberista? (FIN)
Towards a zero-emission, smart maritime ecosystem
What will it take to create an open, digitally-enabled, emission-free and smarter maritime ecosystem?
Did you know that over 90% of the world’s trade is carried by sea? While shipping is the most cost-effective and energy efficient form of transportation available today, it’s of paramount importance that we do what we can to protect our lifeline, the oceans. The maritime industry has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the total shipping fleet by at least 50 percent by 2050 from 2008 levels, with the ultimate goal of phasing them out entirely by 2100. This is a challenge that Wärtsilä is taking head on, together with its customers, partners and other stakeholders.
We’re living in exciting times. While shipping still withstands a multitude of inefficiencies, the maritime sector stands on the threshold of rapid transformation, driven in part by the emerging technologies that have the potential to truly reshape the world in which we live and operate and most certainly owing to the mounting pressure to cost-effectively meet environmental compliance in line with consumer-driven need for change.
The use of connectivity, real-time communication and data analytics in voyage optimisation, operation and energy management are crucial elements in the journey towards sustainable shipping. However, we need to encourage co-operation, data-sharing and transparency between stakeholders if a cleaner, smarter maritime ecosystem is to take shape. To lay the right foundations, big questions need to be tackled first.
Join this workshop to explore and co-create tangible solutions, that promise to bridge the gap between the present day and a smarter, sustainable maritime future!
