We are involved in Women in Tech, because we want to inspire women into the technology sector. At the moment the share of women within CGI’s personnel is significantly higher than in the IT industry in general – and we want to further increase it! Your background does not necessarily have to be technical in order to join CGI.
Furthermore, the number of women in managerial positions has increased significantly in recent years. We also engage with our client organizations’ female leaders and organize various kinds of seminars and opportunities to network.
In 2018, we also established a Women of CGI network inside our own company.

Technology Industries of Finland is the lobbying organization for technology industry companies. It promotes competitiveness and operational preconditions of this largest and most important export sector in Finland. Technology industry comprises five sub-sectors: electronics and electro technical industry, mechanical engineering, metals industry, consulting engineering and information technology industries. The sector accounts for 50 % of total Finnish exports and 75 % of Finnish R&D-investments. There are 270 000 directly employed in the sector, total employment effect is around 700 000. Constantly progressing technology industry creates the basis for the Finnish welfare conditions.
Technology companies need, more than ever, women's skills and knowledge. Broad thinking gives birth to the best products and solutions. Technology Industries of Finland launched the Women in Tech initiative in 2013 in order to get more excellent female brain power for the technology industry.
